Studio Octavia opened in 2006 and is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The studio has state of the art equipment designed to cater to all types of music and musicians. We specialize in music production and are persnickety about our recordings: we work with Pro-Tools, which offers the high definition digital sound. Our goal is to construct an environment that is full of life and is suitable for all styles of performers. We are motivated to help you and your project stay on budget and schedule. Studio Octavia is owned and operated by Nathan Hoff and Jillian Speece, and is also where their group, The Bergamot, records their works.

The Bergamot is a good-natured, toe-tapping, and thought-provoking group that originated from the sweet cornfields of good ol' Indiana. This band incorporates the sounds of folk, R&B, and soul. It has been said that "the voice of Jillian Speece is as smooth as silk and Nathan Hoff's striking music flows effortlessly from his fingertips." From The Bergamot's humble beginnings of self-production, their sound is brilliantly organic and flows from the heart. Between the cold winters and summer trips to Lake Michigan, this band has had ample opportunity to be inspired by the sights and sounds of their native region. Since 2003, they have been working, growing, and learning together. In turn, their unique vibe and noteworthy balance has bloomed. Many of their songs originated in diverse places and from stories of old as well as new. "My writing allows the tangible world to dissolve, allowing my soul to integrate my spirit within my voice," articulates Jillian about songwriting.

The passion that emits from The Bergamot's music is quite contagious. Both Nathan and Jillian draw inspiration from people, books, and different experiences to create their eclectic sound. Currently, The Bergamot continues working on their newest album which is set to release during the summer of 2010.
